Critical Minerals - Jon is the Chief of Strategy for Margosa Graphite and has assisted in positioning Margosa as a world leading producer of high-grade, crystalline vein graphite. The Company’s pioneering approach to modern exploration techniques (such as ground and airborne electromagnetic surveying) followed by diamond drilling led to the discovery of a significant graphite resource at the Ridee Ganga Vein Graphite Project (RGP), which follows the latest Australian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (JORC Code 2012). The project is located 40 km southwest of Colombo. It should be noted that Margosa/ Lankan Resources is the only Graphite organisation in Sri Lanka that has completed a Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (JORC Code 2012). This is significant, as the USGS (United States Geological Survey) has recognized Sri Lanka for the first time in around 100 years as having a Graphite resource within the country. The USGS is one of the largest water, earth, and biological science and civilian mapping agencies globally. The acknowledgement of Sri Lanka’s Graphite resource by the USGS is a notable shift which puts Sri Lanka on the world stage, and which will promote the development of the country’s Graphite industry and we have already seen the benefits as manufacturers have engaged the Company and it has sparked conversations around future interest and investment. Resilience Leader - Jon is the managing director lead for the PwC Global Centre of Excellence for Crisis & Resilience and has a seat on the Global Leadership Team where he represents thr ASEANZ region.as the lead resilience SME. He is an Organisational Resilience and Risk professional with over 25 years’ experience as a crisis leader spanning from Global Operations as a front-line Military Commander in the UK Special Forces Support Group to working with local and global organisations as they face into the growing threats from strategic and operational risks. Jon is a well regarded SME in Crisis and Emergency Management (CEM), Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Protective Security and specialises in mapping organisational resilience landscapes for businesses in order to form a tailored, top down intent driven and Enterprise Risk based approach through the vehicle of integrated and synchronised ERM, BCM and CEM frameworks.
