Assist team members with positioning, moving and transporting patients. Assists with the preparation and draping of patients, anticipates the needs of the surgeon, passes appropriate instruments, and assists in exposure of the surgical field; performs all surgical counts quickly and accurately; works well under pressure and remaining alert for any complications; skillful in anticipating the surgeon’s needs and responds effectively in emergency situations, serves in a flexible scrub role with minimal notice. Ensures the O.R. is turned over quickly and is setup and ready for the next case. Makes sure bio-waste is disposed of and instruments are rinsed and ready for sterilization. Manages cost control and inventory. Above all the patient comes first
