About Jon Nicholas

Currently I am engaged in a number of processes aimed at reducing the isolation and vulnerability that can lead to stress, violence and nefarious radicalisation. This work involves designing and delivering interactive formats and bespoke processes that develop and enhance understanding and confidence. Client groups include : Teachers, Police officers, Youth Workers and a range of NGO teams and staff. Direct work on team development and acute internecions with vulnerable groups including; Those at risk of becoming involved in extremism, individuals and groups experiencing or emerging from conflict. I have designed and delivered a range of conflict management training with a variety of groups. At times that has involved working with a group of professionals (Human Rights workers and Development staff for example) on short courses. At others I have spent time in The Former Yugoslavia, Caucasus, and Indonesia devising and directing issue based theatre programmes. Recently I have been involved in a number of initiatives aimed at reducing radicalisation among young people. I am currently working with Alternative to Violence in Oslo, The Foundation for Peace in Warrington, Wolf and Water Arts Company in Devon, The Centre for Conflict Management in Oslo and other NGOs and conflict management organisations.
