I started working for CenturyTel in 1998 as a CAD contractor in the engineering department, helping out mostly on inside plant drawings like rack diagrams and layouts, learning some things about inside plant telecommunications equipment along the way. I also did lots of pedestal and remote site drawings. Eventually, this landed me my full time position in Operations (outside plant) supporting engineers and technicians by providing CAD support in the form of software troubleshooting, providing hard and soft copy maps of facilities, and other miscellaneous mapping duties. After graduating in June 2013 from Globe University with an A.A.S. in Information Technology, I obtained an IT Specialist position at Riverland Energy Cooperative in Arcadia, WI. My responsibilities include general desktop support, Active Directory, Exchange Server, and network administration.
