About Jon Palmer

I began my career supporting the fixed income trade desk at a global quantitative trading firm, Susquehanna International Group (SIG). In 2016, I joined a regional bank, Bryn Mawr Trust (BMT), where I was responsible for fixed income research, strategy and trading for the wealth management division’s SMA and mutual fund investment products. I joined the S&P Global Ratings Credit Research & Insights team (CR & I) in 2019 as a research analyst and author. I publish credit market and thematic research for CR & I clients-including C-suite leaders, institutional investors, middle-market institutions, and retail investors. In addition to authoring research, my role with CR & I affords me opportunities to explore new initiatives that leverage our data. I have experience coding in SQL, VBA, and Python, and I have completed two professional education courses where I explored the application of emerging technologies in business: the MIT Sloan Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation and Application course; and the MIT Applied Data Science Program. I am a CFA® charterholder and member of the CFA Society New York. I have a BBA in Finance from Texas State University.
