About Jon Piett

My journey has been defined by bold moves and a willingness to embrace new opportunities. At 22, I moved to Thailand for a year to pursue my passion for scuba diving, earning my PADI Scuba Dive Instructor certification. This led me to the Turks and Caicos Islands, where I lived for almost two years and ran my first business, laying the groundwork for a career built on resilience and innovation.Years later, while working full-time, I started LOTUS Sleep Products in my garage with just What began as a side project has grown into a leading brand for Canadian-made mattresses, built on sustainability and quality. At the same time, I helped grow Modern Mattress from a single store to five thriving locations, introducing technology to enhance the customer experience.In 2023, I was honored to represent Canada at the G20 YEA Summit in India and in 2024 accepted into NEXT Canada’s Founder Program. These experiences remind me of the importance of collaboration and continuous learning. I’ve always believed in being a sponge—staying curious, staying hungry, and staying humble. Each step in my journey has been a chance to grow, connect with others, and contribute in meaningful ways. I’m grateful for the challenges and opportunities that have shaped me and remain committed to building impactful brands and supporting others in their own pursuits.
