About Jon Schraut

I am a friendly results-oriented, process driven pharmacist with a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree who delivers dedication, integrity, and compassion in my personal and professional endeavors. Prior to becoming a pharmacist I sampled a variety of pharmacy roles and employers, working two overlapping positions (combined full-time) in both retail and hospital settings before and while attending college. I am highly adept, driven, creative, and resilient. I have a background as a float pharmacist, retail staff pharmacist, and pharmacy manager. This array of professional diversity has developed in me a well-rounded and steadfast sense of my abilities, goals, and where I best belong to impact the lives of others. These experiences have given me invaluable knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of various systems, practical knowledge that I can share in whatever future role I engage. I love my profession as a retail pharmacist, a career which provides the ability to develop repeated interactions and relationships with the customer, who is first and foremost the patient, in a community setting surrounded by like-minded peers. My primary focus is providing quality patient care and strong customer service to drive optimal health outcomes and profitability. Assisting others with their health care needs provides me a strong sense of satisfaction and purpose. I am grateful and blessed for this life. I value my recent experiences at Shopko pharmacy, which includes helping rebuild the pharmacy by recruiting a new pharmacy team while implementing better procedures and workflow. Achieving greater efficiency, respect, and care for our customers, employees, and the community we serve continues to be gratifying. I am proud of the positive relationships that have been built with our customers by each of our employees. I am honored by their responses. I am committed to navigating the pharmacy through the retail challenges and transitions which are upon us.
