About Jon Steinberg

Jon Steinberg is a Director in PwC's Energy, Utilities and resources practice, focusing on serving utility and renewable energy clients on the West Coast. Jon has a deep passion for the industry stemming from the ability of innovative technology to improve lives and the environment. Most recently Jon served in PwCs national office focusing on capital markets transactions including IPO's, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures and the related financial reporting issues, and assisting clients with emerging accounting issues arriving from the clean energy transition.Jon's experiences include; performing audits under US GAAS and PCAOB guidelines for companies applying various accounting frameworks including US GAAP, GASB, IFRS, and FERC; assisting companies with complex accounting issues; and advising on implementation and financial effects of the new revenue and lease accounting standard. Jon has been based in PwC's Portland, Oregon office, in addition to completing a tour in London, UK, serving PwCs UK utility clients and advising on internal controls.
