About Jon Thiessen

Work Experience Retired from Real Estate December 31, 2024 after 30 years. this time I really retired. Now the question is, what should I do with my free time. I am looking, but have to look for the time to look! Retired December 15, 1993 after forty years with U S WEST Inc.(now QWEST),(now CenturyLink),(now Lumen). Responsibilities included various management assignments. The last being General Manager Engineering for Minnesota/Iowa/Nebraska/North Dakota/South Dakota. Accountable for a Quarter Billion dollar construction budget, hundreds of projects and over 600 employees. After “Retirement”, worked for a year as a Buyer’s Agent for Buyer’s Resource Real Estate of Castle Rock and as General Contractor building our own home in the Valley Park area of Larkspur. General Contractor building another home in Larkspur in 2002. Opened Larkspur Realty as Owner/Broker, March 1995 to June 15, 2001. On June 15, 2001 moved to RE/MAX Alliance in Castle Rock. On April 1, 2009 reopened Larkspur Realty as Owner/Broker Education: 1957-59 Studied Farm Economics and Electronics at Pierce College, Canoga Park, California; 1981 Completed Executive Management Program at Penn State University; Certified First Class Engineer with Masters Endorsement, N.A.R.T.E; numerous formal Management & Technical courses while employed with U S WEST both inside and outside the Company. Obtained first Real Estate Sales License in 1979. Renewed License in 1993. Qualified for, and received Brokers License September 1, 1994 Obtained “GRI” (Graduate Realtor Institute) May 1996, “CRS” (Certified Residential Specialist) May “ABR” (Accredited Buyer Representative) Jan 2003 Specialties: Helping Home Buyers and Sellers in purchase and sale of homes.
