About Jon Vanier
I have a general site civil background. The majority of my early career I worked on single-family, multi-family, and commercial land development projects. This included the design of erosion control, grading, roadway, drainage, water, and sanitary sewer systems. More recently, I have had the good fortune to work on some large public transportation projects. My primary responsibility has been providing the drainage design (conveyance, water quality, and flow control). In one of these projects, I was a member of a blended team that was collocated with other consultants and the client (WSDOT). This was a great experience that required strong interrelationship skills in order to work in large diverse teams. Outside of work I enjoy home improvement projects and restoring classic vehicles. I also enjoy biking, hiking, golfing, and fishing.
