About Jon Vega

I'm an aerospace engineer passionate about enabling sustainable, crewed space exploration beyond Earth orbit. With hands-on experience supporting NASA missions, I specialize in systems integration, parametric campaign cost modeling, ECLSS logistics modeling, and supporting mission architecture developing for Moon and Mars campaigns. Currently I work for Binera Inc. as a contractor for NASA Langley's Campaign Analysis Team (CAT) developing strategic tools in Excel and Python that inform multi-billion dollar NASA decisions shaping Mars logistics frameworks to aligning exploration architectures with fiscal and technical constraints. My contributions span crewed lunar mission logistics modeling, cargo manifesting, and ECLSS architecture trade studies, all rooted in cross-disciplinary collaboration and data-driven decision making. Previously I supported ISS system integration and lead a project as an intern for KBR Inc. as a contractor for NASA Johnson Space Center to find a reliable, scalable and modern commercial data collection software package for NASA's space station health metrics. I thrive in environments that bridge technical depth with big picture mission strategy, and I'm always seeking opportunities where systems analysis meets human spaceflight ambition.
