About Jon Veldhouse

With over 25 years of global leadership experience, I have dedicated my career to building and scaling businesses at the intersection of biotechnology, industrial fermentation, ag-tech, and sustainable chemistry. Most recently, I served as the founding CEO of Qore®, a joint venture between Cargill and HELM. In this role, I helped take the company from concept to commercial reality—deploying over $350M capital investment, assembling a world-class team, and commissioning one of the largest bio-based chemical facilities in the world. Together, we launched QIRA®, a 100% bio-based alternative to fossil-based materials - recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the Top Innovations of 2025 and seen as a major advancement in sustainable chemistry. Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to lead diverse teams across technical, commercial, and operational disciplines. My experience spans: • Strategy & Governance – guiding joint ventures and partnerships at global scale. • Innovation & Commercialization – bringing new technologies to market in bio-based materials and ag-tech and securing long-term customer off-take commitments. • Growth & Execution – developing customer partnerships, scaling manufacturing, and creating long-term enterprise value.I am passionate about advancing ag-related technical solutions that deliver value for customers, partners, and the planet. I believe in building teams and organizations that not only perform, but also inspire trust, collaboration, and resilience.
