About Jon Wallace

I have been sidetracked by an auto-immune illness, and have not been an active participant in my the workforce since 2009. However, I am still quite interested in assisting others with projects, startups, and in particular, non-profit and social advocacy endeavors. I am developing my expertise with WordPress, and currently manage about 7 small websites for non-profits and for small businesses or organizations. I am always interested in providing my assistance gratis for non-profits, or for a small amount of equity participation for start-ups. I work in spurts, but cannot work regular hours on a consistent basis, so I am not really available "for hire" on projects that have pressing deadlines at this point in time. I am energized by helping others develop their strategic plans for technology or business process re-engineering initiatives by serving as a moderator for guided brainstorming and strategic planning sessions, and assisting with the development of proposals. Through my consulting practice, I have a particular passion for working as a Business Start-Up Consultant and in assisting non-profits, start-ups, and advocacy groups by providing organizational and infrastructure assistance or networking assistance for grants and proposal writers. Past Specialty areas include: Comprehensive website project management, from writing the business case, to promoting the final product. Content Managed Website consulting and development. Specialized Websites for Employee Recruitment, Law Firms, Hospitals. Current Interests include: Employee life balance and mental health. Wordpress and other open source or free tools that allow small organizations to be able to provide the features and functionality of larger organizations. Team-building for effective work environments and employee retention. Cross-discipline business analyst and management consulting with a focus on profitability and process/personnel re-engineering, and technology integration.
