About Jonae Reid

I am a Temple University student who will be graduating in 2023. My goals for myself is to become a Physician Assistant. I have been enrolled back in school since August 2019 and plan on taking opportunities on campus to do research, internships, and volunteering as much as possible to get any hands on experience whether in a hospital or doctor's office to participate in my future roll of life. I first started college in 2015 right after highschool and kind of pushed off my dreams to work more and make more money because I am trying to balance life as a parent at 22 as well as a student. I felt as if since I had a child, I had to move out and make it easier and take on the full responsibility as a parent for my child to look up to her mother as a hard working, independent and resilient woman. I knew that as life was going on, working was cool but it was more that I was missing and I knew it was school and that I would be happier once back onto a university. I did attend a community college but I did not get the feel as if that is where I belonged as time went on so I came to Temple and love it there. Although my goal is to be a PA I have interest in surgery so I hope that I can connect with someone who can give me an opportunity to do some research or an internship to get that hands on experience.
