Hi all, welcome to my profile! Let's jump into it.I am a nerd when it comes to the Environment. I believe that our climate crisis has the potential to be the most unifying social cause in human history. I also believe that the only way to address the climate crisis comprehensively is through Hope, Inclusion, Empathy, Positivity, and not being afraid to engage in uncomfortable conversations. Everyone has a role to play in being part of the solution, and I am more than excited to do my part in that.I'm fascinated by both the human and non-human elements. I grew up in Mid-city Los Angeles, in a neighborhood that is quite literally the intersection that connects all sides of the city. It was in this environment that I was able to see and engage with so much of the world in one place. At the same time, this world that I grew up in was entirely constructed for industry and humans.My experiences going to the University of Oregon deeply informed how I aim to address the climate crisis: through mutual connection and comprehensive intersectional solutions. My college experience was defined by time outdoors. I was blessed to have access to incredible communities and mentors with the shared interest of learning about and protecting our natural world.Through my broad background of work experience providing Intersectional Environmental Education to diverse youth across the US, Environmental Consulting in Spain, working with a broad range of alternative farmers internationally, and engaging in years of community involved outdoor leadership experiences, I see the interrelatedness of all struggles. I see how work in different fields benefit from one another. I see that there is no job that can not benefit from taking on a sustainable mindset. And I see that comprehensive solutions rooted in intersectional systems thinking are THE way forward in addressing the climate crisis.Thank you for reading, and feel free to reach out at any given time :)!
