About Jonas Andersen

I help organizations create custom software solutions, which are easy to use, scalable and performant. With extensive experience and deep technical knowledge, I provide solution architecture, design and implementation of business applications and system integration based on Java and Web technologies. I have worked across a diverse spectrum of industries and solution domains. Among the organizations I've worked for you'll find regional and global banks, a world-leading transportation and logistics company, local health and life insurance providers, telecommunications and utilities providers as well as academic institutions. The solutions have been as varied as the organizations but browser-based business applications and electronic document and records management (ECM/EDM) are often recurring themes. Primary areas of expertise: Solution architecture, design and development of business applications and system integration based on Java and Web technologies (e.g. Spring Boot, Angular, REST, XML, SQL, NoSQL, MQ/MOM, LDAP, ECM/EDM) Performance optimization and operational improvements of Java based solutions (system analyis, performance testing, application profiling) Enhancing development capability through team coaching on agile processes (Scrum & SAFe) and XP software engineering practices based on years of first-hand experience Increasing performance of ecological agent-based models as well as implementing model enhancement in response to continued research (NetLogo, Repast Simphony) In the past I have worked as a software developer, IT architect and technical project manager. I have been a team leader and been responsible for applications and projects. I have experience with traditional processes (waterfall, RUP) as well as Agile methods (Scrum, SAFe). I have co-trained the Certified Scrum Master course with Jeff Sutherland and J. J. Sutherland. In my early career I co-authored the IBM RedBook "WebSphere Version 5 Application Development Handbook".
