About Jonas Gerards

My career began with training as a precision mechanic, which I completed with an award as guild winner. For some time after my vocational training I worked as a precision mechanic in my former training company, but was looking for bigger challenges. So during my career I got several jobs as service technician and mechanic in many interesting working environments. I did my voluntary military service as an aircraft mechanic soldier in Roth / Bavaria and in Nörvenich / North Rhine-Westphalia at the German Air Force. I took advantage of many opportunities for further training and achieved, for example, my qualification for university entrance and my mechanical engineering technician with state examination. As project work for the graduation of the mechanical engineering school I travelled to China and supported a local vocational school there to improve the training conditions in the school itself and to give an insight into a German vocational training and to establish contacts to local metal and mechanical engineering companies. After working in project management and customer support for over 2 years, I now manage the maintenance and repair department in my current company
