About Jonas Mortier

Finishing my studies bioscience engineering at KUL half June 2021, I could immediately start in that same month as team lead production at Westfro. Not exactly knowing what to do after studies as engineering, I am glad I could start in the field to use my eyes and hands as much as possible. In that way, my experiences continued to broaden, even with my past growing up at home on a farm! After not even worked a year as team lead production, the firm discovered my enthusiasm and my willing to learn, where I got an opportunity: promoting to “process engineer” to still use my connection with the production site, as well as “responsible waste water treatment”. Westfro is a vegetable processing industry, where I am very grateful I can in this broad function further growth and develop my capacities. We recycle on site all used waste water, to anticipate the current issues concerning environment and sustainability. Even more thinking on the weather, the seasoning of vegetables is becoming very volatile so flexibility in the production department as well as in water consumptions are essential. Luckly with the right people on the right place, everything is possible!
