25 years of professional experience from the development cooperation sector, focused on natural resources and land governance; • Experienced Project Manager, marketing, tender proposal writing, project budget development and follow up, reporting, etc. • Extensive experience in working with land use planning and land tenure related issues, inc. policy/legal framework development, identification of weaknesses in planning processes and development of improved legislation and instructions for land use planning. • Profound understanding of institutional setups that affect planning processes and agencies involved in planning,(e.g. India, Vietnam, Laos) • Long-term experience from Vietnam (3 years) developing a national process for integrated LUP for all administrative levels, incl. improvement to the land law, development of tools and methods for environmental assessments, climate change considerations, and policy improvements; • Long-term experience from Laos (13years) working with land allocation and land use planning as well as programme management. • Extensive experience in working with forestry related programmes on forest inventory, forest cover monitoring, forest land tenure and management planning, e.g. in Vietnam (4 years); • 14 years of professional experience of GIS consulting working with the major brands of software, including development of customised GIS applications, capacity building, training materials, databases and thematic maps. • Has done numerous GIS and land use/forestry related short-term assignments during the past 10 years including, GIS for community forestry in Thailand and Cambodia (2003), GIS and Remote Sensing in forest inventories in Laos (2004), Land Use changes studies in Forestry Strategy 2020 in Laos (2004), Spatial Data Infrastructure in Vietnam (2005), and developing a GIS system for forest land use planning and management in Vietnam (2008-09), developing capacity for GIS use in urban planning in India (2010);
