About Jonas Wesseling

Research Associate at the University of Duisburg-Essen in the Department of Business Administration & Production Management with a special focus on Life Cycle Assessment and Operations Research. After several years of professional experience as a project manager in international contract logistics at Kuehne + Nagel and as a sustainability manager at thyssenkrupp Materials Services, I have profound knowledge in the fields of logistics, supply chain management and sustainability management. I am currently pursuing my doctorate with research focused on integrating life cycle assessment (LCA) and supply chain management, utilizing multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) as a supporting tool to advance corporate sustainability management. This work links environmental impact analysis with business management processes, aiming to make sustainability objectives measurable and actionable within organizations.
