About Jonathan Alcott

My name is Jonathan Alcott, and I'm currently a design Assistant at Brown Books Publishing Group. I'm confident with the use of design software and traditional art mediums, and so excited to be able to use my experience in the field of publishing. I'm proud of the skills I've cultivated and ready to contribute to the field of design. I've gained valuable experience in several fields, including graphic design, branding, and advertising. My graphic design experience comes from my position with Brown Books Publishing Group. I handled book covers, interiors, page layouts, press kits, advertisements, and internal company communications. This real-life experience has exposed me to the rich and fascinating world of book publishing. My branding experience comes from my work with Denton's Wesley Foundation, a non-denominational non-profit that hired me to redesign their logo. I worked with their pastor to create a logo that would work across all mediums and sizes, a coherent color scheme, and even font styles. My advertising experience comes from my role as Art Director for UNT's NSAC Advertising Team. We competed on a national level with our mock advertising campaign for Indeed.
