As General Manager and Regional Director of operations at Aman, I oversee the operations and strategy of ultra luxury resorts in China and Bhutan. With over 30 years of diversified global experience. I am passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences and fostering a culture of excellence within my teams. My goal is to continue to grow and innovate in the hospitality sector, while delivering unparalleled quality to guests and development opportunities for team members. More Having entered the exciting world of hospitality, I identified and utilized rare opportunities, through intent and design, by working alongside some of the worlds leading pioneers in experiential ultra luxury hospitality. I have dedicated my career spanning 30 years, towards honing my skills and abilities to create and curate bespoke experiences for the world’s most discerning guests. I am accustomed to working closely with private owners and investors and have relished their passionate influence on the culture and soul of the properties. I consider many of my roles as General Manager as entrusted privileges of curatorship and legacy development. Whilst confident in my own ability to successfully lead, I attribute the successes to the harnessed collective ability of the international and culturally diverse teams that I have had the privilege of leading and mentoring. I am proud of my achievements having held senior leadership roles at a number of iconic properties which have been recipients of global accolades. Conde Nast Traveller, Travel and Leisure, Robb Report, Tatler, Andrew Harper Awards and National Geographic to name a few. I have gained international experience and developed a consistent and proven track record of having managed and developed a number of the worlds leading ultra luxury hotels located on private islands, remote wilderness areas, semi urban environments and urban envonments in South Africa, New Zealand, Seychelles, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and China. Natural ability to identify and solve problems and implement solutions, controls and efficiencies. Proven track record of establishing profitable business strategy in line with both guests and shareholder satisfaction. Excellent understanding of sales and marketing strategy, traditional and online, relationship development, channel and distribution management. Proven trouble shooter and implementor of turnaround strategy.
