About Jonathan Archibald

I am someone who can take almost any problem and break it down into it's constituents. As a technical trainer, I've been breaking down policy, procedure, and best practices into short training material and knowledge base entries. On top of this, I'm creating compensation plans, conducting interviews, or auditing performance metrics. As though this were enough, I spend a portion of my week with on-hands training in our stores. I've also written a tool in C# that manages the software that we use as well as uploads important information from the work that we do into our CMS REST API. As a 2019 Assistant Manager of the year recipient, I was quickly recruited to be a district level manager where my role in the company shifted drastically. Currently I am interested in performance metrics and, more importantly, the mathematics behind the measurement of these metrics. I believe it to be important in this day and age to have metrics that are scalable as well as obvious in its utility. As a result, I'm even more aware of my programming limitations in the area of data science. I've taken it upon myself to learn Clojure, Datomic and Clojure Spec. While I am admittedly a slow learner in this regard, I have a high comprehension rate. This is mostly due to my desire to shoot for high goals but I'm not afraid to fail in pursuit of those goals. Why would you hire me? You're looking for someone that isn't afraid to admit when they are wrong. The person you're looking for works well with others and is willing to give them the time of day to hear a different point of view. You're looking for someone that seeks out obstacles and finds ways to overcome them without having to be told to do so.
