About Jonathan Baird

An experienced production manager and procurement and supply chain operator, I’ve worked in Northern Ireland for 2 high profile global companies. My background was mainly in construction with sourcing experience in the fields of facilities, building, concrete production and aggregate production. I also have past experience as a Quarry Manager and Road Surfacing Engineer. After being made redundant I spent my time as a full time dad and volunteered at a local primary school in NI assisting teachers with classroom and other activities. Relocated with my family to New Delhi, India from April 2012 to May 2015 where I also studied part-time. I volunteered as a parent member of the Environment and Facilities Committee at the American Embassy School, New Delhi, for the 2013/14 academic year. I was also a Parent School Association volunteer. Moved to Edinburgh in June 2015, then on to Haddington, East Lothian in Sept 2015. I was an Archive and Local History volunteer at The John Gray Centre in Haddington, part of East Lothian Council, from Oct 2017 until Dec 2019. Work included compiling a publication, scanning and cataloguing photographic slides of Haddington taken from the 1950's up to the present day and cleaning and cataloging old documents. Moved to London Dec 2019. I started in Feb 2020 as a Museum and Archive volunteer with Islington Council and a Social Media volunteer with The Fusiliers Museum at the Tower Of London.
