Jonathan began his career in capital markets in 2007 as an associate with CIBC's Retail Structured Product Group. In 2009, he was hired by the National Bank of Canada and was appointed Director Regional Sales for the Province of Ontario and later all of Western Canada. During his tenure in capital markets, Jonathan was able to work with advisors across the country to develop investment strategies that specialized in the implementation of equity, commodity, and fixed income derivatives in a portfolio management context. Jonathan obtained his Juris Doctor (law degree) abroad, and specialized in International Trade Law and International Financial Systems. Prior to that, Jonathan obtained a double degree in Finance and Economics at the University of Western Ontario. Jonathan is a registered Investment Advisor, he is Insurance Licensed, Derivatives and Options Licensed, he is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and is a CFA level II candidate.
