With over 20 years of software development experience and a strong commitment to leveraging technology for climate action, I’m optimistic about our ability to avert disaster—but I know it takes time, collaboration, and creativity. Living in beautiful British Columbia, I’m acutely aware of our complex fire ecosystem and the urgent need for adaptation and resilience. The Challenge: Accessing climate and wildfire data shouldn’t be a privilege reserved for the highly resourced. Yet, the complexity and cost of existing tools often create blind spots, leaving organizations struggling to prioritize critical insights. From governments needing to model risks to local authorities looking for effective risk reduction strategies, the demand for accessible, impactful, and even visually appealing data solutions has never been greater. My Mission: I aim to bridge the gap between technology and those who need it most—empowering local governments, infrastructure operators, and insurance companies with the insights they need to make informed decisions. By transforming complex data into actionable insights, we can foster resilience and adaptation in the face of climate challenges. A Bit About Me: When I’m not immersed in the tech world, you’ll find me experimenting with recipes in the kitchen (I’m still perfecting my French omelette technique). I’m also a proud parent to an awesome little guy who keeps me on my toes, which helps me prepare for my long distance triathlon races. After 10 half’s and 2 full Ironmans later, I’m still wondering why I enjoy destroying my body like this. I’m a former head of product at FreshGrade, where I contributed to raising over $15M before the company's acquisition. My journey has spanned diverse industries, from venture capital and public safety to education and Fortune 50 companies.
