About Jonathan Brown

Within both my academic career and volunteering positions, I have been able to develop and refine a multitude of skills. My academic career, particularly studies at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, has greatly enhanced my ability to research comprehensively, communicate eloquently, and manage my time and workload effectively. The workload I have tackled, whilst improving so many of these aforementioned skills, also demonstrated my capacity for determination and resilience. I have been able to take these strengths into the volunteering roles which I have performed, and these roles have in turn greatly improved my competency in other areas. My communication skills have been substantially improved through working within volunteer teams in time-pressured and emotionally sensitive environments, allowing me to take on the role of a leader where required. That I have been asked to adopt these leadership positions illustrates my ability to effectively manage and support a team, remain effective under pressure, and process confidential information.
