I am an internationally experienced Senior Marine Deck Officer, Captain & Dynamic Positioning Operator (DPO), with a 25-year history dedicated to safe, secure and efficient vessel operations in the marine industry. I hold valid Master Mariner (MNI) and unlimited Dynamic Positioning certification, having held senior positions within a number of marine sectors including Oil & Gas, Ecotourism, Cruise & Passenger vessels, Leisure and Hospitality. Organisations I have worked for include Noble Drilling, Royal Caribbean International, BC Ferries, Disney Cruise Line and Underwater Engineering. As a Dynamic Positioning Operator and Chief Officer I have over commercial documented DP desk hours, and I am fully conversant in DP and Offshore operations related to DP 2 & 3 deep water drilling, sat and mixed air diving, ROV, sub-sea & surface construction projects, survey and pipe-lay. I possess a superior knowledge of conventional, Azipod, jet drive, HSC propulsion and Gas turbine, Diesel Electric and Steam power systems. I am an experienced Captain with excellent leadership qualities who ensures efficient operation of the ship including stability and seaworthiness, safety and security, cargo operations, navigation and crew management. I am also a STCW 95 certified assessor and trainer, experienced in training crews in safety, security, firefighting and seamanship in cross cultural environments.
