Mr. Caines is a Mechanical Engineer registered in Newfoundland and Labrador, and British Columbia, and a Senior Engineering Specialist / Marine Pipeline Systems Lead with INTECSEA Canada, a division of WorleyParsons Canada Services Ltd. He has approximately 12 years of broad spectrum engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, traditional mechanical/electrical systems design, and research and development environments. His project experience ranges from traditional marine pipeline systems and offshore arctic/harsh environment developments to onshore pipeline and piping systems, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, low pressure propane gas systems design, and R&D testing for ship-ice interaction. He has a background in mechanical and oil and gas engineering and has experience in conceptual, FEED, and detailed design of offshore and onshore pipeline and piping systems and associated structures following national, international, and project-specific design standards. Mr. Caines has completed graduate research work focused on Arctic ice gouging and is experienced in arctic and harsh environment design and R&D. Geographical project areas include offshore Alaska, the Canadian Arctic, the Canadian East Coast, the Canadian West Coast, offshore Greenland, the Canadian Great Lakes, the Gulf of Mexico, and onshore Alberta. Through a wide variety of projects and project roles, Mr. Caines has bid, won and/or managed engineering contracts ranging in value from $10k CAD to multi-millions, including inter-disciplinary works, marine survey components, construction support, and environmental and permitting activities.
