About Jonathan Calixto

I am a senior at Stanford University, studying Physics and Music. My academic and research experiences have centered around applying data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling to complex, real-world problems. At Stanford, I have been involved in research for the Vera C. Rubin Observatory, using machine learning algorithms such as Extra Trees Regression and Self-Organizing Maps to model and correct for observational biases. I have also explored statistical analysis through independent projects in sports analytics, developing strong skills in data wrangling, regression modeling, and visualization. I am passionate about leveraging data-driven insights to solve meaningful problems, and I am eager to continue building my career in data science, research, and analytics. I am proficient in Python and familiar with R and C++, and a variety of data science tools and libraries. I am seeking opportunities where I can grow technically, contribute to impactful projects, and work within dynamic and innovative teams!
