I am currently looking for a new challenge in Perth WA.In my last role I led the Optical and Physical Network Innovation Lab team. I was responsible for testing, analysis and approval of fibres and passive components for Openreach's network. I owned and wrote specifications for Openreach, created designs and investigated complex network issues.I worked closely with suppliers and other business units, introduced new products/technologies and provided consultancy on those.When I started working in telecoms, I worked as a technician diagnosing and resolving faults on various Transmission network platforms. I moved into technical management, leading transmission and planned engineering works teams.I then worked in Transmission network design, when I was responsible for compaction of BT's 21C Transmission network, saving power and enabling re-use of spares.I worked as a platform manager for BT's Huawei Transmission networks, responsible for end to end life cycle of those networks. This included responsibility for design aspects of the BT Huawei network.Before moving to Openreach I was a Lead Duty Manager responsible for large number of BT networks, the connectivity between those and the Power for BT exchanges. I ensured faults were resolved within their service level agreements and reporting on any network activity was timely and accurate. I worked closely with problem management, platform and service teams; highlighting any improvements identified and briefing out any changes in process.
