A large portion of my career as a Data Analyst has included helping Pharmacy Benefit Management organizations identify cost saving and profit potentials through repricing and benefit remodeling, identifying unsafe or wasteful prescribing trends and designing processes and programs that address these common problems. I have expertise in pharmacy claim data mining using SQL in a variety of claim adjudication environments and I am skilled in identifying prescribing trends and assisting in developing member and prescriber campaigns that alter utilization habits and patterns to increase both plan and member cost savings. I build and execute repeatable processes and procedures that result in quicker turn-around times. My problem solving skills have been honed in legacy environments featuring limited resources and restricted tool sets so I am flexible, a quick learner, and can negotiate complex environments - all to solve challenges and deliver actionable reports on time. My experience and proficiency as a SQL developer has allowed me to serve the reporting needs of Sales, Account Execs and Management in the PBM industry for over 15 years. I have developed reports and performed data analytics using Business Objects (Webi/Crystal), stand-alone Crystal Reporting, Cognos, SSRS on Oracle and Aginity on Netezza and am familiar with data mining and manipulation via DML, DDL, and SQL using window functions, CTEs and complex aggregation. I am at home in an environment of large data files and record sets of varying data types, complex databases, data marts and star schemas where creative use of all available tools is a must. My history as a data analyst includes frequent collaboration with customers and teams to build innovative new processes and compile easily consumable stats. I am flexible, enjoy learning new technology and developing new processes, and thrive on solving the challenges of unique reporting problems needing better and more efficient solutions.
