About Jonathan D. Hoag

With a robust background in contract, labor, and administrative law, my current role as a Contract and Labor Law Attorney at America's First Corps leverages over a decade of legal experience. My mission is to uphold justice and provide expert legal advice, ensuring alignment with the Agency’s values of integrity and service. My expertise in procurement law, fiscal compliance, and labor law, alongside my commitment to excellence, has consistently supported our organization's strategic goals. At America's First Corps, my day-to-day responsibilities include representing the agency in litigation and advising on pre-litigation matters to prevent legal disputes. I emphasize teaching preventative law, advising the agency on ways to handle civilian employee misconduct without protracted litigation, and I assist with settling EEO disputes at the lowest levels when possible, through early engagement with complainants. When necessary, I thoroughly prepare and zealously defend the agency in litigation. I also advise on procurement and acquisitions utilizing the Federal Acquisition Regulations, contract administration and disputes, as well as fiscal law issues. My skill set, honed through previous advisory roles, includes criminal prosecution, team management, and leadership, which I've applied effectively to serve the legal needs of our military community.
