About Jonathan Dart

I’m a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) with a career that spans trading floors, psychology, sales, consulting, and strategic account management. My career started in investment banking, working in global derivatives and Swedish fixed income sales. In my early 30s, I retrained as an occupational psychologist and joined a Cambridge-based consultancy, working on psychological assessment, training, and personal development. After gaining Chartership, I moved into independent practice supporting senior teams in London’s hedge fund sector - helping them build strong leadership, shared values, and clear direction. For the past decade, I’ve worked at Promote International, helping organisations improve workplace performance through learning technology and the High-Performance Learning Journey (HPLJ) approach. I began with the Kirkpatrick model of evaluation, but my focus has since evolved towards the methods of Professor Robert Brinkerhoff, with whom I now work closely. I use his Success Case Method and have dedicated myself to advancing Essential Impact Evaluation (EIE)- a clear, practical approach that shows what’s working, why it’s working, and how to do more of it. EIE helps organisations cut through noise and connect learning directly to business performance - so they can build on what works and deliver results that matter. I bring a commercial mindset to evaluation: helping organisations prove the value of learning, accelerate impact, and move the needle on what matters to the business.
