About Jonathan Decarlo

I have graduated with my Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore on May 18, 2018. During my Masters degree, I completed three field placements in which I provided extensive substance abuse and mental health treatment. I have extensive experience in working with individuals with co-occurring disorders and dual-diagnoses. My experience includes facilitating both psycho-educational and psychotherapy groups and providing individual care and treatment planning. During my field placement, I utilized numerous CPRS (computerized medical records system) to complete psychosocial assessments, standardized assessment measures, treatment planning, and progress note documentation. My field placements allowed the opportunity to utilize CBT, Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques. As can be seen from my resume, I have experience in working as part of an interdisciplinary team as well as experience with working independently to meet the needs of the clients. My goal is to continue working towards certification in DBT.
