About Jonathan Desta

I am currently a Senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte studying Finance set to graduate in December 2021. My experiences and skills have expanded over the past years, from opportunities inside and outside of school. During my time at the university, I have taken courses such as Investment, Corporate Finance, Managerial Economics, Strategic Management, Business Communication, Business Law I and II, and many more finance classes that have helped me grow and engage in my field of study. Besides school, I have done an internship at BDO Consulting East Africa. I was able to gain technical and analytical skills in finance. On top of that, my experience has thought me how to functionally work with a team and how to shine as a leader. I am a hard worker with a very good work ethic coupled with efficient time management skills. I would also say I am a good learner demonstrated by educational endeavors. Additionally, Having a multi-national experience has really helped me change my perspective I believe that finance is such a gripping field, that I have found it challenging and exciting to learn about, throughout my years in school. My curiosity and interest in the study of the financial sector are very high. I strive for a profession that has a stimulating and encouraging work environment. I am a dedicated individual who brings leadership and innovative skills, as well as well-roundedness to my profession.
