For me, the evolution of software marketing is to be found in understanding where value can be created or unlocked, so the narrative moves to outcomes, from technology features and benefits. I believe the most important currencies for enduring customer relationships are mutual trust and respect and this ethos informs every aspect of my marketing. I am an agile and adaptable marketer, who has performed at a high-level for large public companies, to those who aren’t so big. A firm believer that good marketing takes a village, I get a kick from leading and developing talent. My strengths are in crafting marketing strategies that combine relatable stories with world-class demand generation strategies. A test and learn approach is embedded in my approach to marketing. Data is the guiding compass for marketing investments – traditional and digital. Some keywords that have been attached to my career include messaging, marketing strategy, product marketing, global demand generation, public relations, sales enablement, industry marketing, and content marketing. However, I think the most important thing we do, as marketers, is to take an outside-in view to advocate for the customer.
