About Jonathan Duguay

My goal in life is to connect with people and really brighten up their lives with what I create. To that end, I specialize in art and 3D animation since storytelling is an important part of cultures around the world. I have been working in the VFX and animation industry where I’ve been making quality work on high profile shows for the past eight years. I can adapt to changing studio pipelines and applications to deliver film and television productions, a flair for dad jokes. Previously on ‘Mega Man: Fully Charged’ I worked at DHX Media executing my proficiencies; using a strong sense of composition, camera direction, animation timing and problem-solving skills with my production team. Rainmaker Studios is where I started as a Layout Artist, previously render wrangling the farm for the entire studio before moving up to Jr TD for a show’s Redboard pipeline used for the layout team. Prior to there, I worked as a DPA working closely with the render and I/O departments at Digital Domain’s multiple studios. All these experiences have built up my organizational skills in regard to studio pipelines, technologies and procedures. I also enjoy making graphic novels and character art for both freelance work and passion projects. I graduated from BCIT's Digital Animation Course in 2006, pursuing animation ever since, while still improving my CG and traditional art skills through independent courses.
