Currently Mayor of the City of Avondale Estates. I serve as a voting member of the Board of Mayor and Commissioners, our governing body of five at large members. As Mayor, I call and preside over meetings, am the official city spokesman, sign contracts and documents on behalf of the city, and am chief policy advocate, all as prescribed by our city charter. Over the last seven years we have renovated our historic Willis Park, approved and embarked upon the Covington Highway road diet/complete street project, rewritten our zoning code and historic district guidelines, adopted a street grid, recently completed a new two acre town green, adopted a comprehensive stormwater master plan, approved $100 million in mixed use development, and are contemplating another $600 million in mixed use development and public parking. I have thirty three years of cumulative experience in construction and architecture in a wide range of project types including residential, commercial, hospitality, institutional, industrial, military, and aviation. Licensed architect in Georgia since 1998. Specialties: Sustainable residential and small commercial architecture.
