About Jonathan Ferrante

I am a graduate of the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I completed my BBA in Accounting with a focus on auditing. I was a member of the UMass Accounting Association as well as the BAP Chapter of UMass. As a freshman at UMass Amherst I made the Dean's list my first semester and ended the year with a 3.4 GPA. I worked over 25 hours per week during both semesters and was recognized for my hard work and dedication to proper execution. I was quickly promoted to the Dishroom Management Supervisor position after showing full understanding of duties as well as proper adherence to safety regulations. While holding this position, I interned as manager of the dining commons in addition to my normal job duties. I developed data analysis and Microsoft excel skills by performing inventory management as well as processing payroll requests. I also developed team leadership skills as I communicated effectively and efficiently with different areas of the dining commons to ensure proper setup and execution. Through my experiences as a supervisor I decided that I would like to work in a team oriented environment where I can help motivate others to achieve a common goal. Additionally, my experiences at State Street allowed me to solve complex problems and cooperate with co-workers around the world. I spent time training others employees and authorizing their trades while balancing a series of daily tasks required for Tier 2 employees. After graduation I began studying for the CPA examination as I work in the assurance department at Cohnreznick. I primarily work in the affordable housing industry while assisting with fund audits, 100+ AH project consolidations, and NFP audits during interim.
