About Jonathan Ferri

As a Biomedical Engineer and Data Analyst, I bring a unique blend of technical skills and hands-on problem-solving experience to the field of data analysis. Graduating cum laude from the University of Vermont with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, I developed a strong foundation in statistics, research processes, and data analysis. My concentration in biomechanics and my work as a research assistant in a wearable sensors lab gave me expertise in manipulating, storing, and analyzing large datasets. These experiences provided me with exposure and guidance in signal processing and machine learning techniques. After graduation, I pivoted to seasonal roles as an outdoor recreation educator, working as a whitewater guide and adaptive ski instructor. This career shift, driven by the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, allowed me to further develop my adaptability, leadership, and decision-making skills. I was honored to receive awards from my peers for my positivity, commitment to learning, and eagerness to support others, including Rookie and Instructor of the Year at the National Ability Center in Park City, Utah. Now, I am excited to channel my problem-solving abilities, technical expertise, and leadership skills into a career in Data Analysis. I am passionate about using data to drive insights and solutions, with a particular interest in environmental conservation and public health. I am looking forward to joining a team of curious, passionate, and genuine people. I believe the best work happens when people support one another and am eager to find new teams to grow and learn with! I am currently enjoying fresh snow falls from Palmer, AK and am particularly interested in new opportunities within Alaska and involving remote work!
