About Jonathan Gillan

Jonathan Gillan is a high honours graduate of Saint John High School and graduate of the BBA program at the University of New Brunswick Saint John with a dual focus in Marketing and Human Resource Management. Throughout high school, he worked in the sales industry at W. Smith and Co. as a sales person in a position of high trust at the young age of sixteen years old. He then moved into the emergency field of work, applying as an analyst and field operative at Emergency Solutions International which is also a profession of great responsibility. Toward the end of high school and all throughout university, he worked in logistics and as an analyst at Emergency Solutions International. He was also a local entrepreneur that actively managed and operated Gillan's Landscaping and Home Care, which is a small incorporated business that operated in Saint John and surrounding area. Upon graduation from UNBSJ, Jonathan was hired on full time at Emergency Solutions International in a logistics and analysis position and also helped with special projects and training development. During his time at ESI Jonathan has continued to educate himself, taking many certification courses including: Marine Facility Security Officer, Medical First Responder, Incident Command System 100, 200, 300, 400, 402, Scribing for Emergency Management, Introduction to Emergency Operations Centre Management, Etc. Jonathan is currently in the "Manager of Training and Product Delivery" position at Emergency Solutions International, where he will help the business to succeed in current markets and grow into new ones. Jonathan is also an active volunteer with Team Rubicon Canada and serves under the logistics branch for New Brunswick and deployed to assist with disaster management as he is able. In February of 2025, Jonathan also began volunteering with the Grand Bay-Westfield Fire Department and intends to finish his probationary period and become a front-line firefighter as soon as he has an opportunity to take the training required.
