About Jonathan Goins

I currently have 15+ years' experience in IT at Business Information Systems in various positions: software support four-plus years, support Team Leader four-plus years, Operations Management and project management three years. My college education was focused on software development and my plan was to find a position in software development but the opportunity for a support position came up first and I took it. I thoroughly enjoy this work. While a support technician and team leader I did in-person installation and training on the use of our software, bug testing and reporting, software design and documentation, project management and installed and configured peripherals, in addition to the nominal duty of software support. As an Operations Manager I've been responsible for the productivity and personnel management for four different teams, managing their schedules and ensuring their projects stay on track, in addition to leading my own software projects. I still keep up with my coding by working on personal projects in my spare time. I'm currently learning Python while working on a new skill for the MycroftAI home assistant project.
