I am an Information Assurance Consultant with over 25 years experience of delivering high quality technical and non-technical security services. I continue to diversify my skill set which includes Enterprise Security Architecture (SABSA and ArchiMate 3 qualified), technical, physical and procedural security, security management and strategic IA policy definition. I am therefore able to adopt a holistic approach by employing a focused and methodical approach to aligning Information Assurance objectives with business goals. In a domain which is sometimes separated from the business by technical obscurity, I enjoy and am effective in the roles of “translator” (providing an interface between technical security specialists and business managers) and “advocate” (acting as a champion for Information Assurance as a business enabler) as my interpersonal skills enable me to apply my knowledge and experience in the most effective way. I have extensive experience at working to Board and other senior level management in the private and public sectors. I am also used to working in and leading teams of IA practitioners and other professionals.
