About Jonathan Harper

Jonathan is currently a student at the University of North Texas and will be graduating in May 2023 with a B.B.A. in Sport Entertainment Management from the Britt Ryan College of Business. Upon graduation he plans on seeking a job with a professional sports franchise and applying for a Masters Degree program. Jonathan Harper was born in California but grew up in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. Growing up in Dallas, he attended Dallas Christian School for grades K-12 where he excelled in both academics and athletics. Jonathan is currently a student at the University of North Texas where he is majoring in Business Administration. He has made the Presidents List twice with a 4.0 semester GPA. He will be graduating in May 2023 with a B.B.A. in Sport Entertainment Management from the Britt Ryan College of Business and is on track to graduate Magna Cum Laude. Jonathan is the co-founder and event coordinator for Dallas Dodgeball. Dallas Dodgeball is a dodgeball organization that he co-founded while still in high-school. Over the years Dallas Dodgeball has become very successful and has grown to host weekly open plays, seasonal leagues, and major tournaments throughout the year. In 2016, he made the USA Dodgeball Mens National Team that competed in the World Dodgeball Championships in Australia. Jonathan's goals and objectives in the short term are to secure a job with a professional sports franchise where he hopes to learn everything he can about the business at the professional level while working hard to advance his career. Currently, he is a Game Day Operations intern with the Texas Legends, the Dallas Mavericks NBA G-League affiliate in Frisco, Texas. In the long term, Jonathan hopes to advance his career into the front office of a professional sports franchise while working toward his ultimate goal of becoming a General Manager. Some of Jonathan's other interests include fishing, music, cooking, going dancing (two-stepping) at Honky-Tonks, and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys spending time with his two dogs, an Australian Shepherd named Tilly and an Australian Cattle dog named Roxy.
