About Jonathan Harvey

More than 30 years experience in the telecommunications industry and has worked with most of the major communications service providers. Extensive experience in Core, Cloud Infrastructure, Radio and Transport sales, product management, project management, network engineering, planning and operations. As VP, Portfolio Management for Core Networks within Nokia Cloud & Networks Services, Jonathan is responsible for the management of the complete Nokia end-to-end Core Networks and Cloud Infrastructure portfolio. This involves portfolio and business strategy, lifecycle management and product line management including extensive customer-facing engagement with communication service providers. Previously, Jonathan headed up Global Core Pre-Sales and Business Development within Nokia Software, responsible for global Core and Cloud Infrastructure pre-sales and business development across seven markets. Prior to that Jonathan headed up the Cloud Core Development Unit within Nokia Mobile Networks, with end-to-end responsibility for all Cloud Core product development in multiple global technical centres. Before that, Jonathan was responsible for Global Core Sales at Nokia Networks, being responsible for global Core sales strategy, product marketing and sales support for the complete Core portfolio. Jonathan joined Nokia Siemens Networks in 2008 when the company acquired Apertio, where he was responsible for Product Management and Solution Architecture. Prior to Apertio, Jonathan was Chief Technical Officer for Siemens Mobile Networks in the UK responsible for the complete portfolio including core, mobile radio and transport network technologies. Jonathan has also held various positions covering Sales, Project Management. Engineering and Services in both NEC Corporation and the UK Government. Currently actively involved with cloud native 5G NSA/SA Core, Packet Core, IMS and VoLTE/VoNR Core, SDM/UDR, 3G/4G/5G Signalling, CS Core, Private Wireless, CI/CD, automation, SaaS, NFVI and Container Management, 3rd party CaaS and hyperscaler platforms.
