About Jonathan Hebert

With over 21 years of experience in the Federal Government and Parliament of Canada, I’ve built a career rooted in bilingual public service and community engagement. My work spans outreach, procurement, communications, information management, research, user experience, music and the arts, and public education—each role deepening my understanding of how government can better serve people. As an Outreach Officer with Procurement Assistance Canada in the Atlantic Region, I help small and medium-sized businesses access federal procurement opportunities. I lead presentations, build partnerships, and simplify complex processes to support inclusive economic development. My previous roles with the Canadian Coast Guard, Library of Parliament, and House of Commons shaped my skills in materiel management, cataloguing, research, user experience, and stakeholder engagement. These experiences taught me how to make systems more accessible and responsive to the needs of users. I also served as the first Atlantic Region Lead for the Public Service Pride Network, where I led regional initiatives and helped launch the network in Atlantic Canada—advancing equity and inclusion for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities across the public sector. I was recognized for this work with a King Charles Coronation Medal, nominated by my employer PSPC. In my community I serve as the Volunteer Curling Director on the Board of Directors of the Mayflower Curling Club in Timberlea, Nova Scotia. Sport brings communities together and I have been fortunate to be involved in the curling community in Halifax for the past 4 years where I have met many friends. I thrive in collaborative, mission-driven environments and bring curiosity, empathy, and strategic thinking to every challenge.
