About Jonathan Huffman

Dr. Jonathan M. Huffman is a psychologist at Wellness Psychological Services. Dr. Huffman graduated with his M.A. in clinical psychology from Washburn University and his Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Kansas. He has also completed graduate certificates in applied behavioral science and women, gender, and sexuality studies. He is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, certified therapist in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and a licensed psychologist with PSYPACT interjurisdictional practice abilities. Dr. Huffman's dissertation examined the application of the intersectionality framework to the ADDRESSING cultural influences as perceived distance from privilege and the mediated model for seeking counseling using quantitative methods. He has presented at national conferences and published in peer-reviewed academic journals. Dr. Huffman’s most recent publication is “Effectiveness of a brief dialectical behavior therapy intensive-outpatient community health program.” He has provided mental health services at medical, inpatient, college counseling, community mental health, OCD intensive outpatient, and dialectical behavior therapy intensive outpatient centers.
