As the Director of the Fire Rescue Academy, PPE Branch and BATs, I bring over 34 years of dedicated service in Emergency Services. My career is marked by a deep commitment to public safety, education, and leadership. I have honed my expertise in a wide range of areas including strategic planning, financial management, policy and program development, as well as educational strategy and curriculum design. I take pride in having developed comprehensive business cases, strategic plans, and financial budgets that have driven the Academy's success and resilience. Furthermore, my experience extends to developing educational/professional plans and lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs, ensuring that our training programs are both rigorous and accessible. Beyond my responsibilities at the Academy, I am a passionate entrepreneur with 26 years of small business ownership. This experience has endowed me with a pragmatic understanding of business operations, client relations, and the importance of adaptability in an ever-changing market. Additionally, I have the privilege of serving as a university instructor, where I leverage my extensive field experience to contribute to the academic development of students pursuing careers in emergency services, leadership and business. My teaching philosophy is grounded in real-world applicability, critical thinking, and continuous learning.I am always eager to connect with professionals who share a commitment to excellence in emergency services, education, and community engagement.
