I have 11 years of Software Engineering and Programming experience mostly focused in the Java and Microsoft ecosystems with strengths in build tools (Gradle, CMake, Make, MSBuild, Ant), debugging (native, JVM.Net CLR, JavaScript), concurrency (Java/.Net), and testing (unit, integration, end-to-end: JUnit, MSTest/VSTest, GoogleTest, Jasmine). I am working on my own C++ test framework called TestCPP, which can be viewed on my GitHub profile. I have specialized knowledge in ANTLR for developing grammars that can solve very complex parsing problems with great accuracy and precision. I've worked in multiple different web front-/back-end stacks, including Angular.js/d3/Java/Astro (Boeing, 1.5 years), VoiceXML/JavaScript/PHP/jQuery (Cayuse Technologies, 1 year), and VueJS/ASP.Net (old school)/WCF/jQuery (Grant County PUD,~4 years); there's a lot of work with JSON and XML in there. My remaining experience has been in native (C/C++) and managed environments developing GUI, CLI, and Service applications using Java, VB.Net, and C#. I have a knack for making organized and convenient GUIs natively and on the web. I also have particular strength in my ability to debug very difficult problems. I am very good at picking up and using new Programming Languages because of the strong conceptual programming language foundation I built in college, my work using parser-generators, and a strong self-learning desire to understand syntax and semantics using a combination of learn-by-doing and reading documentation. I have consistently used various Continuous Integration systems, including mostly Jenkins, and more recently GitHub Actions. I have a significant amount of experience maintaining, fixing, and improving legacy systems and creating data services to connect them to newer systems across most places I've been employed (this comprises about 6-7 years of my total experience). The rest of my experience (3-4 years) has been in greenfield projects.
